The conference is held annually by inviting drama writers, producers and related people of Asian countries to provide the opportunity for joint production of world-class killer contents and the creation of an actual network of people working in the drama industry. The conference was held for the fifth time in 2010 and changed its name from “TV Drama Writers’ Conference of Asia” to “TV Drama Conference of Asia” as the ratio of participation of producers and people working in the broadcasting industry other than drama writers, increased. Drama writers and producers representing Asian countries, including Korea, China and Japan, have so far steadily participated and the conference is drawing much attention as a forum to discuss new cooperation projects.
