A great number of renowned TV drama writers representing East Asia like Jeng Hyoungsoo, who wrote ‘Damo’ and ‘Joo Mong,’ and Kim Eunhee and Youn Eunkyoung, who jointly wrote ‘Winter Sonata’ from South Korea, Ozaki Masaya, who wrote ‘A Man who Cannot Get Married,’ and Nakazono Miho, who wrote ‘The Dignity of Dispatch’ and ‘Aneko’ from Japan, and Mao Hung Jung, who wrote ‘Meteor Garden,’ from Taiwan, participated in the second TV Drama Writers’ Conference of East Asia, which was held in Shanghai in association with Shanghai Media Group (hereafter described as SMG).
At the conference, a string of presentations were made as to the current drama production situations and development progress under the title of ‘The Development Direction of Dramas of East Asia,’ and dramas were shown like ‘One Apple and Two Stars’ by Kim Woonkyoung from South Korea, ‘A Man who Cannot Get Married,’ by Ozaki Masaya from Japan, and ‘A Mischievous Kiss’ by Chi His Lin from Taiwan, followed by the presentation of the topic and heated discussions.
