Title K-POP now in India!! 'Feel Korea' in New Delhi
No Inquiry 1873 Date 2015/09/18

<2015 Feel Korea in New Delhi>, a joint venture between KOFICE and Korean Culture Centre India, was held on August 29 and 30 in the capital of India, New Delhi. <Feel Korea>, a bilateral cultural exchange program focused on promoting various genres of Korean culture to nations worldwide in joint ventures with local culture, has reached the relative frontier of Hallyu after successful events in Canada (Toronto) in 2012, Brazil (São Paulo), Canada (Vancouver), Australia (Perth) in 2013, and Japan (Sapporo) in 2015.

The main event of <Feel Korea> on 29th (Sat) featured not only K-POP stars such as Teen Top, ZE:A, BESTie, 100% and Almeng, but also local artists like Borkung Hrangkhawl and a collaboration between K-POP contest winners and ImFact in a stunning display of bilateral cultural exchange. The main event was also held in association with the grand finale of <K-Pop Contest India 2015>, with J of ZE:A on the judge table and ImFact's performance jump-starting the events.

Other programs designed to bring Korean culture to the local fans were included as well. Teen Top held a fan signing event on the morning of 29th, and on 30th (Sun) J of ZE:A participated in a 'Hangul class' and 'make-up class' with the fans.

This event is expected to provide a spark to the relative obscurity of Hallyu in India, and an occasion for the two nations to come together closer for their coexistence and cooperation. This event was sponsored by Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism and Korean Embassy in India.
