No Inquiry 1652 Date 2015/10/08

The members of ‘Outlookie’, the Korea culture experience group consisting of foreign students set out on their ‘Tawkwondo trip’ to Muju, Jeonbuk between September 5th to September 6th. The students in white Taekwondo uniform for the first time in their life took a first-hand look at Taekwondo demonstration and learned the basic postures and smashing skills of the Korean martial art. Since the Taekwondo tour was the first choice of the ‘Outlookie’ members among other Korean cultures they wanted to experience, it received fervent response from the members.

Other than the Taekwondo class, they were also given a chance to join ‘Firefly Festival’, the most famous local festivals in Muju, in the evening and have the rural experience of Korea. The ‘Outrookie’ members, most of them live in a city exclaimed in surprise by the beauty and mystery of the fireflies.

Second day, they took a tour around the well-arranged facilities of Taekwondowon in the morning. They looked around here and there in groups, capturing the joyful memories in their camera. In particular, they could appreciate the beautiful scenery of Korea at the observatory that they arrived by a monorail. The Taekwondo Tour was a true opportunity for them to learn and experience Taekwondo, a Korean martial art and a sport in the Olympic games.

The ‘Outrookie’ members have enjoyed Korean traditional and modern cultures since April under a variety of themes on a monthly basis. They plan to visit ‘Jejudo Island’ in October. It is expected that they could have a wonderful experience with a Korean island in Jeju, the nation’s largest island with stunning views.
