Korean Movies Record Monthly Highest in August: 25.06 million Admissions and KRW 194 billion

- Driven by the success of “Roaring Currents” and “The Pirates,” Korean films saw the highest monthly records in August: a total of 32.17 million admissions and KRW 249.7 billion in sales with Korean movies accounting for 77.9% of total admissions. Compared with figures for last year, the number of admissions rose by 3.03 million and revenues by KRW 44.2 billion. Korean films accounted for 25.06 million admissions and KRW 194 billion in sales. “Roaring Currents” to be shown for Free: More than 200 Screenings

- Film distributor CJ E&M will screen “Roaring Currents” free of charge for those who cannot afford to go to the movies.
