A team of journalists from Chinese university newspapers visited Korea under the invitation of Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange on August 24 and stayed for 7 days. The participating student journalists were elected from Chinese universities, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China and Beijing Normal University. During their visit, they got a direct experience of Korean culture. They also participated in the debate of next-generation Korean and Chinese journalists hosted by the editing team of Seoul National University newspaper and engaged in a serious debate about the roles of university media in the modern society. The two teams shared a memorable time as they discussed the roles of university media and the problems of and solutions for Korean and Chinese media.
They also attended popular cultural events such as Incheon Korean Wave Festival and Seoul Fringe Festival and got a direct experience of the leisure culture of Korean youth. At Institute of Traditional Korean Food, they prepared traditional foods including kimchi and broadened their experiences of Korean culture.
