The 4th Hallyu NOW Seminar, co-hosted by the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange and City of Seoul and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, took place on December 11 at Seoul City Hall. Organized into two sessions - in-depth look at hot issues of Hallyu and discussions on promoting Seoul tourism through Hallyu - the seminar investigated the hot agenda of this year, such as the current status and future prospects of Hallyu in China, export of K-pop star systems, and means of promoting Seoul tourism through Hallyu.

First, the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange gave a report on the results of the 4th Hallyu Overseas Survey. Answered by 5,600 Hallyu fans overseas in 14 countries, the survey provided comprehensive data on Hallyu consumption, Korean image, and other Hallyu-related information organized by country and by region. This was followed by presentations and discussions on the idiosyncrasies and uses of Hallyu in China, Korean star incubating system, and promoting Seoul tourism through Hallyu.

This year's seminar investigated the crucial Hallyu issues of 2014 and looked at the dynamic cases of Hallyu overseas. It asked fundamental questions about Hallyu and sought to find solutions to its growth.
