- It is the event held in Sapporo with cooperation among KOFICE, Sapporo Tourism Association (Chairman: Fujita Tsuneo), NPO Korea-Japan Cultural Exchange Council(Chairman: Ishibashi Takuma). This event requested by Sapporo Snow Festival Execution Committee is the official cultural event in commemoration of the Sapporo Snow Festival(さっぽろ雪まつり, which is one of the world’s top three festivals with some 3 million participants. The Sapporo Snow Festival, which is the 61st this year, is the largest festival of Japan held at the beginning of every February. Through performance of “K-POP” , which gains high popularity in Japan and is a kind of cultural flow, this event became an opportunity to intensify mutual ties between Japan and Korea and embrace diversity of two countries. This was a benefit performance and benefits thereof were donated to in line with Millennium Development Goals(MDGs) of UN.
