The Asian Club is a group of people dedicated to the debate and reflection around the media productions of East Asia ??TV series, movies, animations, music videos, pop music, celebrities, among others too. Its main purpose is to deepen the understanding of other modes of design, production and media distribution beyond a Western perspective. The Asian Club is an academic activity of the faculty and students of the Media and Culture department, at Universidade Federal Fluminense, in the city of Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro. The group consists of 40 active members, who produce content, organize events, study and first and for most, are fans of Asian culture. The club?셲 meetings receive an audience of, on average, 55 people. On April 2014, we will complete one year (fully established) of dissemination of Asian content in Rio de Janeiro.
