Choi Min-sik Reminisces About “Oldboy” in Florence

Actor Choi Min-sik has been invited to a Korean film festival in Florence, Italy, on March. His management agency CJ Entertainment announced, “Choi Min-sik has been invited to the 12th Florence Korean Film Fest that takes place from the 21st to the 30th.” As the only Korean film festival in Italy, the Florence Korean Film Fest will feature a special program on Choi Min-sik. The actor will hold interviews with the media and talks with the audience during the festival.

The retrospective will show eight of his works, including “Oldboy”, “I Saw the Devil”, “Failan”, “Springtime”, “Crying Fist”, and “New World”. After the screening of “Oldboy” on the 25th, Choi Min-sik and Busan International Film Festival programmer Nam Dong-cheol will hold a talk with the Italian audience.

This year’s Florence Korean Film Fest celebrates the 130th anniversary of Korea–Italy diplomatic ties and will feature diverse programs co-organized with the Korean Embassy in Italy. The festival will open with Huh Jung’s “Hide and Seek” and will end with Song Hae-sung’s “Aging Family”.
