Hwang Jeong-min Returns with Hot Love Story with Han Hye-jin

The production team of this year’s talked-about film noir “New World” and Hwang Jeong-min, who starred as Jeong-cheong in the movie, have joined hands again for “When a Man Loves a Woman” (director Han Dong-wook), set to be released in January 2014. The poster has already been revealed. In the upcoming movie, Hwang Jeong-min, who appeared as fiercely loyal Jeong-cheong in “New World” and made “brother” an in-word of the year, plays the role of Tae-il, a forty-year-old man who works for his loan shark friend. Tae-il has no house of his own, no plan, and drops in and out of prison as if it were his home. When it comes to women, he has tried and done everything but love, until one day, he finds the love of his life. Movie fans are looking forward to seeing Hwang Jeong-min in his new role.

The poster that was unveiled after the release date was confirmed shows Hwang Jeong-min smiling euphorically. The tagline “tearfully happy” for having found the love of his life is a clear depiction of Tae-il’s feelings. Hwang Jeong-min underwent a complete transformation for his role, dressing up in a flashy, golden shirt and sporting a sleek hairstyle. The woman that Tae-il falls for is the “healing actress” Han Hye-jin, who is showing a strong performance in the drama “Kind Words.”

“I was drawn to the complexity of Tae-il’s character. He is a good-for-nothing living a rough life, a man in love, and just a person who looks back on his life as he struggles with his family. I also chose the movie because I had faith in Han Dong-wook, whom I’ve worked with for “Bad Deal” and “New World,” explained Hwang Jeong-min. He personally wrote the title of the movie on the poster.
