Song Hye-kyo to Star in Movie “Pit-a-pat My Life”: Filming Starts in January

Song Hye-kyo has confirmed that she will star in “Pit-a-pat My Life.” Sources said on October 13 that Song Hye-kyo has completed talks with director Lee Jae-yong about starring in his new movie.
“Pit-a-pat My Life” is adapted from Kim Ae-ran’s novel of the same title. It tells the story of a boy suffering from progeria and his parents who look younger than he does.
For Song Hye-kyo, her role as the devoted mother of a fast-aging son will be a new challenge in her acting career. Director Lee Jae-yong has already been recognized for his attention to details, which can be seen in “An Affair,” “Untold Scandal,” “Actresses,” and “Behind the Camera.” A source explained that Song Hye-kyo is a long-time fan of Lee Jae-yong and has always wanted to work with him. Casting was made possible thanks to her respect for the director and her confidence in the original work.
The leading actor, who will appear as her husband in the movie, is yet to be confirmed. The movie is currently in its preproduction stage and the actual filming will start at the end of January. Song Hye-kyo is in the middle of working on John Woo’s “The Crossing” in Beijing. Filming ends in mid-January, after which she will return to Korea to work on her next movie.
Song Hye-kyo’s return to the silver screen in Korea comes two years after Lee Jeong-hyang’s “A Reason to Live” in 2011. Earlier this year, she impressed the viewers with her acting in the SBS drama, “That Winter, the Wind Blows.” Expectations are high to see what kind of synergy she will create with Lee Jae-yong.
