Singer-cum-actor Rain (Jeong Ji-hoon) has confirmed that he will star in Hollywood movie “The Prince.” Now that he has completed his mandatory military service, Rain is getting ready to restart his career. American entertainment media Deadline announced on November 26 that Rain will star in “The Prince,” a new project by Brian Miller who directed “House of the Rising Sun.”

“The Prince” is an action movie about a retired Las Vegas gangster who is forced into the dark world again when his past enemies kidnap his daughter. Rain will appear in the movie with Bruce Willis, John Cusack, Jason Patrick, and Curtis James Jackson, better known as 50 Cent. Jason Patrick plays the role of the retired killer, the target of Bruce Willis’ revenge. Rain’s role has not been announced yet.
 
“The Prince” marks Rain’s third Hollywood movie, following Warchowskis’ “Speed Racer” and “Ninja Assassin.” After Rain completed his mandatory military service in July, he received all kinds of proposals from Korea and abroad, but eventually, his choice was a Hollywood movie. Rain showed that he is still a world star at the 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards held in Hong Kong on November 22. He is also busy recording his next album, which is set to be released early next year.

Rain will have his hands full next year, from returning to the music scene in Korea to making a movie in Hollywood. With a budget of US$ 18 million, “The Prince” will begin its shoot in December in Alabama and come to theaters in 2014.
