Ryu Seung-ryong’s “The Target” is coming. An actor who took a different role in every movie he appeared in, from “Everything about My Wife,” “Masquerade,” to “Miracle in Cell No. 7,” Ryu Seung-ryong will meet the audience next month with his new movie “The Target.” In the new suspense movie, Yeo-hoon (Ryu Seung-ryong) becomes involved in a mysterious murder case and is accompanied by doctor Tae-jun (Lee Jin-wook) who is trying to save his wife. They are chased by two cops in a 36-hour span.
The movie is a remake of popular French movie “Point Blank” that was released in 2010. Ryu Seung-ryong has already appeared in a remake movie, “All about My Wife,” which is based on Argentine movie “A Boyfriend for My Wife.” In the romantic comedy, Ryu appeared alongside Lim Su-jeong and Lee Seon-kyun and received much love for portraying his character as convincingly as the original, if not better.
In the upcoming movie, Ryu Seung-ryong will show both realistic action and deep emotional acting. He intentionally lost weight for his role as Yeo-hoon and learned action moves for five months. Instead of using a double, he covered even dangerous action scenes himself. In the new movie, Ryu Seung-ryong aims to impress the audience not only with powerful action scenes, but also with his unique emotional acting style.
