Singer cum actor Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) has selected Chinese drama “Diamond Lover” for his next work. “Diamond Lover” is already raising anticipation with its production crew led by Taiwanese director Chen Ming Zhang, who made the original “Fated to Love You.” The drama rewrote the record for the highest viewership among Taiwanese youth dramas and was also remade in Korea. 

Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) will appear in the upcoming drama as the CEO of the world’s top diamond company and the archetypal perfectionist of the social elite. He plays the role of So Ryang, a perfect gentleman who is aloof, wary of others and calculating in all matters. Rain will appear as a cold, but romantic guy who searches for true love. He will play alongside actress Tiffany Tang, selected by the Chinese netizens as one of China’s new four Fadan. The highly popular actress appeared in “Perfect Couple,” “Chinese Paladin 3” and “My Daughter.” Regarding Rain’s casting, a source explained, “Considering Rain’s sterling popularity in China, he accepted the first-rate terms and agreed to star in the drama.”

Rain will start filming for his new drama in early December, moving back and forth between Shanghai, Nanjing, Belgium, and Seoul.
