“The Three Musketeers” VOD Rights Sold to America and China

Cable channel tvN has already sold online VOD rights for “The Three Musketeers” in the US and China. The US publication right was bought by KDRAMA, an online drama streaming site operated by Second TV. In China, the largest online platforms Youku and Toudu now possess the rights.

“’The Three Musketeers’ drew a lot of interest from the production stage. In fact, we are already getting queries about the next season,” said CJ E&M’s overseas content management director Seo Jang-ho. “Aside from China and the USA, Japan and Southeast Asia are showing great interest as well, so we expect to sell the drama to more countries in the near future.”

“The Three Musketeers” will be made available through video streaming in the USA and China right after it airs in Korea. The overseas fans are thrilled. “The Three Musketeers” is causing raves on social network pages and major portal sites, and it is topping keyword search rankings. Major Southeast Asian media have already given an in-depth coverage. Critics and audiences alike are waiting to see if “The Three Musketeers” will continue to make headlines in Korea and abroad.

Starring Jeong Yong-hwa, Lee Jin-wook, Yang Dong-geun, Jeon Hae-in, Seo Hyeon-jin, and Yoo In-young, “The Three Musketeers” (writer Song Jae-jeong, director Kim Byeong-soo) is a romantic period drama inspired by Alexander Dumas’s novel. Set in the reign of King Injo of the Joseon era, the drama adapts the classic novel into a dynamic, action-packed fusion period drama. Three seasons have been confirmed with 12 episodes in each season.
