Lee Ji-ah’s agency HB Entertainment released an official report on Lee Ji-ah’s Hollywood debut as a screen writer. “Last year Lee Ji-ah signed a contract with Maybach Film Productions for three screenplays. The first is ‘Conscious Perception,’ which is already in pre-production. It’s a suspense mystery drama about love and possessiveness of people who are in a flux of memories and dreams. Lee Ji-ah’s first work will be made by Perspective Pictures with a budget of more than 10 billion,” said HB Entertainment.
“Maybach Film Productions has an impressive list of movies to its credit: Elizabeth Olsen’s ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene,’ the winner of the Directing Award at the Sundance Film Festival; ‘Starlet’ starring Ernest Hemingway’s great-granddaughter Dree Hemingway; Venice Film Festival contender and the 39th Deauville American Film Festival Grand Prize winner ‘Night Moves’ starring Dakota Fanning and Jesse Eisenberg; and ‘Mother of George,” the winner of the 29th Sundance Cinematography Award. It is currently filming ‘When I Live My Life Over Again’ starring Amber Heard and Christopher Walken.”
HB Entertainment added, “Lee Ji-ah’s debut screenplay ‘Conscious Perception’ will start shooting in early June next year and come to theaters in early 2016. She will leave for the USA soon to take part in the production. She also hopes to meet her fans as an actress in the near future.”
