KRW 13,000 for a Concert? Movie “Super Show 4 3D”

“Super Show 4 3D,” released on August 8, is a 3D film of Korea’s hottest boy group Super Junior’s concert, “Super Show 4.”
The film starts with 3D still cuts of each member. After building up the fans’ anticipation with the introduction of all nine members (Leeteuk, Ryeowook, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Sungmin, Yesung, Donghae, Kyuhun, and Shindong), the film takes the audience to May 2012.

The first song in the lineup is “Superman,” which kicked off “Super Show 4 Encore Concert in Seoul” held at Seoul Olympic Stadium on May 26 and 27, 2012. From the very first scene, the audience will be gripped by the slow-beat rap that SuJu members, clad in superman attire, sing aloud with the fans at the concert.
The opening song is followed by “Opera,” “A Man in Love,” and “Bonamana,” all delivered vividly to the audience members as if they were actually at the concert. Of the two concerts in Seoul, the filming took place on the second day. However, the members on the screen show no sign of fatigue, and instead, both the group and the fans give themselves to the high energy of the concert.

The group re-choreographs the dance for “You & I” to introduce TVXQ and brings laughter to the concert, inviting those engrossed in the film behind the 3D glasses to become actual spectators at the concert. In the scene where the group sings the late Yoo Jae-ha’s “Our Love” with the fans, the audience will be swept into a well of emotions. Super Junior sings this honest, heartfelt song without any adorned techniques while staying in tune with the voices of the spectators.
Energy runs high till the much anticipated ending songs, the carefully chosen “Destiny” and “Miracle.” While closing the concert successfully, the songs also build up anticipation for “Super Show 5.” The concert itself lasted for 4 hours, but it was edited down to 96 minutes. However, in that 96-minute ride, not only SuJu fans but anyone who joins in will come to rethink about Super Junior and the passion that brought them to where they are today.
