Girl group AOA (Jimin, Choa, Yuna, Hyejeong, Mina, Seolhyun, and Chanmi) will debut their second single in Japan, “Like a Cat,” and lead the girl group Hallyu catwalk.

Released on the 25th, AOA’s second Japanese single album features the title track “Like a Cat” that was all the rage in Korea when it was released in November 2014 and the Japanese version of “Just the Two of Us” and “Elvis.”

Three weeks prior to the release date, the group revealed a 90-second teaser of the “Like a Cat” music video, which generated many positive reviews such as “AOA’s ‘Like a Cat’ music video is cuter than the Korean version,” “AOA’s Japanese pronunciation is lovable,” “Can’t wait for the official release of the album,” and “AOA’s ‘Like a Cat’ Japanese version will be a hit.”

AOA first performed “Like a Cat” to their Japanese fans at the FNC Kingdom concert held in Tokyo and Osaka at the end of last year and received an explosive response from the audience. The group enjoyed three consecutive hits with “Miniskirt,” “Short Hair” and black-cat-concept “Like a Cat” in Korea and is looking to take the cat woman syndrome to Japan next.  

AOA debuted successfully in Japan last October with their single “Miniskirt.” The Japan anniversary association even appointed AOA’s Japanese debut day of October 1 as the AOA Day, an homage to the current girl group leading Hallyu.
