One of the largest entertainment management agency, YG Entertainment (YG hereafter), unveiled its new 3-member unit composed of Akdong Musician’s Lee Soo-hyun, soloist Lee Hi, and teen idol BOBBY. YG added another photo of the new unit on the official blog YG Life at 2 PM on the 5th. The new photo shows Lee Soo-hyun of Akdong Musician posing next to the two members Lee Hi and BOBBY who joined the unit first. YG’s new trio unit will release a new song on the 11th.
What is interesting about YG’s new unit is that the members are all in their teens: Lee Soo-hyun was born in 1999, Lee Hi in 1996, and BOBBY in 1995. They may be young, but Lee Soo-hyun is a member of Akdong Musician, the winner of “K-pop Star Season 2” while Lee Hi was the runner-up for the first season of the same program. The public is already well aware of their musical talents. Hip hop idol star BOBBY also proved his rapping skills at Mnet’s audition program “Show Me the Money Season 3,” which crowned him the champion.
This is why anticipations are high for the Lee Soo-hyun, Lee Hi, and BOBBY collaboration. YG’s new unit will release their debut song at midnight on the 11th and dive into action.
