Hip hop group Epik High (Tablo, Mithra Jin, DJ Tukutz) released their 8th album “Shoebox” which is sweeping both Korean and overseas music charts. Released at midnight on the 21st, “Shoebox” shot up to first place in music rankings in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Taiwan, and Vietnam (as of 1 PM of the same day). It is ranked 2nd in the Philippines, 3rd in Thailand, 7th in Finland, 20th in Macau, 28th in Canada, and 43rd in the USA. It is ranked 7th in the US hip hop and R&B chart.

One of the title tracks of their 8th album, “Happen Ending,” topped the real-time music chart in Korea as soon as it was released. Epik High also made a radical attempt with their music video of “Born Hater,” pre-released on October 18, by shooting it in a vertical style. The song appeals to listeners with its A-list featuring artists—Verbal Jint, Beenzino, B.I. Bobby, Song Min-ho of Winners—daring lyrics, and witty scenes in the music video. Epik High will release their 8th album offline on the 22nd and host their solo concert Parade 2014 at Blue Square Samsung Card Hall in Seoul on November 15 and 16.
