Globally popular boy group Super Junior will see one its members get married. Sung Min (29) has made an official announcement that he will get married to musical actress and singer Kim Sa-eun. Upon hearing the news, many Japanese fans gave their support, but not a few of them expressed their disappointment. Sung Min announced through his agency SM Entertainment on the 14th that the date of his wedding has already been set for December 13.
Sung Min wrote a letter to Super Junior fanclub E.L.F. and apologized to his fans: “My dearest friends, my dearest E.L.F. I am very sorry that you had to hear the news through the media while I was trying to think of the best way to share the news with you first. I wanted to tell you the news myself.”
He went on to explain that he will continue as Super Junior: “I am sincerely grateful for everyone who has helped me and my members and agency who supported and respected my decision. I am going to continue working hard and repay your love.” Hallyu press and media in Japan immediately reported on the news of Sung Min’s marriage. Many fans gave their support, but a number of them also expressed their disappointment.
