BIGBANG is the hottest icon in the music scene right now, dominating major music charts with their latest “LOSER” and “BAE BAE.”
Released at midnight on May 1, BIGBANG’s “LOSER” and “BAE BAE” are ranked first and second on Melon and Bugs music charts in Korea (as of May 13, 8 am). It has been 13 days since the tunes were released, but “LOSER” and “BAE BAE” are still going strong and show no signs of stepping down from the charts anytime soon.
The songs swept the daily and weekly charts in Korea and ranked first and second on the Billboard World Digital Songs Chart on the 8th, proving that BIGBANG’s popularity is no longer confined to the Korean stage.
Their music videos are just as sensational. As of 8 am on May 13, “LOSER” and “BAE BAE” music videos have recorded 16,954,038 and 13,969,073 views respectively. That is 30,923,111 views in total. The music videos received 10,000,000 views in one day, 20,000,000 views in 5 days, 30,000,000 views in 12 days, and are expected to exceed 31,000,000 views on the 13th day.
“LOSER” and “BAE BAE” are a part of BIGBANG’s project M, which will be followed by A, D, and E singles until the end of August. In September, BIGBANG will release the album “MADE.” With the next project “A” set for launch on June 1, the big question now is for how long BIGBANG will dominate the Korean music scene.
