Rookie diva Lee Hi put her first album at No. 3 in the Billboard World Albums Chart. The latest release (March 15, Korean time) of the most influential and trusted pop music chart in the U.S. ranked Lee Hi’s first solo album “First Love Part 1” third on the World Albums Chart.

Her album may not have made it to Billboard 200, the main album chart, but it is a surprising feat for a rookie singer to have her album ranked in the top 3 on a Billboard chart on the first week of its release.

Lee Hi released “First Love Part 1” on March 7. It features five songs, including the title track “It’s Over,” “Special,” and “Dream.” “It’s Over” topped various music charts upon release and is still at the top end of the charts. It is also ranked in the top 10 on iTunes’ R&B/soul album chart in the U.S. and Japan.

Lee Hi will release her full solo album featuring additional songs, including “Rose,” “Because,” and “1, 2, 3, 4,” on March 21.
