PSY’s latest “Hangover” music video is nearing 100 million views on YouTube as it has already received almost 80 million views. Released on the 9th at 8:10 a.m. (Korean time) on PSY’s official YouTube channel, the “Hangover” music video recorded 79,503,907 million views and 621,515 likes as of 2:00 p.m. on the 24th. It has been only 16 days since its release.

With the 80 million views in sight, the “Hangover” music video has everyone wondering whether it will pass the 100 million mark this week. The music video surpassed 20 million views in just 32 hours and 53 million views in five days. “Hangover” is garnering great attention especially after “Gangnam Style” set a new YouTube record with 2 billion views on May 31. “Hangover” is ranked on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles Chart, making PSY the first Asian singer to enter the Billboard chart with three consecutive songs. “Hangover” has also topped Twitter Top Tracks chart and the dance/electronic streaming category. 

“Hangover” was written by PSY and Snoop Dogg and composed by PSY and Yoo Geon-hyung, who also created “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman.” The music video, directed by Cha Eun-taek, expresses PSY’s trademark humor. It also features ggwaengwari, English rap, Korean alcohol “bomb mix”, and Weolmido. Snoop Dogg and PSY’s collaboration is also being received well by the viewers.
