EXO’s official global fanclub EXO-L received 340,000 new members in just a matter of hours. As of 3 PM August 6, the fanclub has 343,196 members. It has only been a day since the homepage opened at noon on the 5th.
Considering that the homepage server went down for a while due to a rush of visitors, the number of members that managed to join the club attests to the immense popularity of the boy group EXO. Furthermore, EXO-L homepage went down both on the 5th and the 6th, a testament to the powerful “fandom” that the group possesses. 
Although the homepage is up and running again, it is facing technical difficulties due to the sheer number of visitors. EXO’s agency SM Entertainment is doing its best to solve these problems. Backed up by 340,000 new fans in just a day, EXO is looking to rewrite more records in the future.
EXO-L is short for EXO-Love. Just as the letter L lies between K and M, EXO-L refers to all fans of EXO, EXO-K and EXO-M. The fans and the group come together as one, in line with the EXO team cheer “We Are One.” EXO is preparing a special event in August in celebration of the launch of its official fanclub.
The group is currently busy with its first solo concert tour “EXO From EXOPLANET #1-The Lost Planet.”
